Purpose of this thread is for us to let each other know why a new game is good and worth buying or why you should never even rent them. I, more than once, would have liked to know that a game was worth getting or not before I spent the cash. Please keep this as relatively new release games (released within the last two-three months.) Also, no games that haven't been released. Don't worry if you can't write, because you're about to find out that I can't. I'll start:

Army of Two
First of all, the AI sucks in this game, so if you're going to play it by yourself, you need to really take charge and tell your partner exactly where he should be. If you can, or like, to give commands to your teammates then I would recommend it. If you have someone to play it with, I would definitely recommend it. You and your partner are mercenaries and all of your objectives will give you substantial amounts of money to buy new guns, or upgrade your current ones. You can upgrade pretty much any feature of the gun, the hilt, barrel, add a second gun to the bottom, or even pimp it out which usually includes lots of gold, chrome, and sometimes even a rhinestone or fifty. The story is decent, although predictable, and the dialog is good. The controls are pretty complicated at first, but are actually pretty good once you get used to them. There is a very innovative combat feature called "aggro" in which certain things make your enemies focus on either you, or your partner. This could be whoever has the biggest gun, who's shooting more all kinds of things and this is a large part of the game.

The bad things: again, the AI sucks, on both ends. Enemies might just charge at you. Secondly, at some points, you might just run into a lot of suicide bombers, which EA thought best to dub "martyrs," and the "dick" of the game is a blatant rip-off of the new Joker (from batman).

Overall, I give Army of Two an 8 out of 10. If you play a lot of games with your buddies, then it's worth it. If not, you might want to borrow or rent it before you decide to drop $60.

They charge just about anywhere, including out of the best position to kill the player. They're no real reason for them to charge you. They don't run up and fire or fire as they are running or even run up and hit you. They just run.

I like the game... I thought it was fun, characters running up to you gives you a chance to put down some sweet melee kills, which look and feel awesome.

It took me like 2 hours of playing to even find out what the melee command was because the timing is a bitch and it's not in the damn manual. I really like the game, I just hate that the AI for my partner is so damn bad. I need to try out the multiplayer online. Have you done that yet? I've just been too busy.

Yeah, I played the entire campaign online, and it was great. But now I'm playing with partner AI and I hate him. Enemies are fine, I don't want rocket scientist running around on the other side, but I hate when my partner drags my downed body towards enemies rather than aways from. That blows. But online is great and the versus is pretty awesome too.

Super Smash Bros Brawl

I have been a Super Smash fan ever since the original on 64. I was highly anticipating this one since it had been officially announced back in mid 2006 and even before that when I played Melee. To bring all of this together, after years upon years of anticipation, I have been disappointed. To me, Brawl is slightly modified repetition of its two predecessors. All in all I will try to be fair though,

1. Single match mode is, again, repetitive. Granted the game is what it is, but I still expected to see more. There are some new characters who do make nice additions, but I am still pissed that the Ice Climbers are there. Whatever. They are twats.

2. Adventure is actually somewhat fun. It can be quite drawn out, but I would say that it was worth my time. Unfortunately it is not worth replaying. While galloping about in a Nintendo clusterf**k, I soon found that I was getting quite bored(possibly do to six hours of the exact same crap). Then a screwball would fly in and capture my attention just for enough time for another screwball to fly in. The cycle continues.

3. One of the more fun bits of the game is the online battle mode. That, to me, was the funnest part of the game. It was nice being able to fight against who knows who and have my ass handed to me. The REALLY annoying part is that Nintendo has an EXTREME lag with the Wii and their online. This causes Sonic to fly in at a frame rate of like 3 per second. Catch my drift?

4. Another cool addition is the Stage Editor. Well, I say "cool" because it has the potential to be so. IF the add more pieces besides the around 15-20 that they have available. So with what I had to my disposal, I was able to produce The Pit, much like the one found in Mortal Kombat minus the blood.

5. By far the most annoying, and ridiculously frustrating thing about Brawl is the controls. The Wiimote isn't worth the bleeding thumbs, the nunchuck isn't worth punching my friends, and the classic controller just feels awkward, a little. Luckily! I was able to resort to my Gamecube controller. It didn't make up for anything, but it helped a little.

6. The final part of this is the Final Smash, or whatever its called. I am 50/50 on this. Some are cool, while others are down right retarded.

To wrap this up, I would give, in my opinion, 6 Gay Marts out of 10

*I say Gay Marts because I think it is unique to us and it seemed lame to just say "6 out of 10"

Do any of you like the Wii's controls in general? I find them to be very unresponsive. Well, maybe not very unresponsive, but enough to where it isn't precise and doesn't react as accurately or fast as you'd expect it to. I realize it isn't a standard controller setup or a mouse, but I think the Wii's controls aren't responsive and the delay/trailing/lag from the Wii Remote is annoying. The idea of the Wii Remote is cool, but it's too gimmicky and makes playing games frustrating when you're used to tight split-second feedback from other control setups. ...might just be me though. I'm really hoping the Wii Remote/Wii steering wheel for Mario Kart won't be the only control option to play with cause that'll be unfortunate.

No, I also feel that way and there's only one actual game that I own for the wii because the controls actually work pretty well with it. That's Elebits. If you haven't played it, it's a first person shooter for kids lol. Fun game. On one hand, it's only $250 so it's for fun on the side, and on the other, I only have 1 real game for fun.... dilemma...

I definitely agree with that. That is one of the downsides. It kinda sucks because it obviously affects gameplay, and that takes away from the good time. A great example of this is Zelda, Twilight Princess. But as Decker said, for $250, I guess it'll do.

You can unlock more stage pieces by playing custom stages 10 times and making 15 stages.

Doing What I Can...When I Can.....

I can understand the frustration with the repetition in the game, but that is why it is a sequel. They realized they had a good basis for a game and worked around it. The majority of sequels are altered clones of originals. The main differences are the addition of more features. But when it comes to annoying characters, I don't know why jigglypuff is still here....

But anyway, don't get me wrong. I agree with you, but I would have to give it a 7/10 Gay-Marts.
